harvester goldthwait xii in aged metallic green.

fun guitar.

- padauk fretboard : 25" scale. 12" radius.

- ABM bridge ( Germany ).

Harvester Recycler

A personal favourite ( I borrowed it for a gig, hope that's alright .. ), made to explore new dimensions in geometry and string theory ( well, string-break-angle-theory ... ) this guy incorporates the lazy, Crazy Horse feel and sound of strings approaching the bridge directly from the bigsby without a roller tension bar. You may know what I'm on about if you're a fan of vintage Gretsch or Guild guitars.

Vintage NOS formica guard.

Hoop-pine body - remilled from 1936 warehouse beams.

Slinky padauk neck cut at 40mm nut-width and 20mm depth ( 1st fret )

Figured ziricote fretboard with minimalist dottage.

Schallers.

It's a compact little stage guitar based on the shapes of the Kay Value Leader of the early 60s with handwound Manlius pickups, a neck joint at the fourteenth fret & a Les Paul Junior style full-width tenon - for added solidity.

SOLD : HARVESTER #38 'KALAMAZOO TRIPLET'

NEW OLD STOCK FROM FEB 2015 *

This guitar was made in tandem with HARVESTER #34, the 'SAN QUENTIN' bass from mahogany and queensland maple.

I designed it simply to please myself ( after restoring / repairing some beautiful 60s epiphone guitars - there's something magical about those tiny mahogany bodies ) using manlius new yorker mini-humbuckers and a NOS hagström tremar from my box of vintage stock ( ex HARMONY factory ).

HARVESTER RECYCLER SERIES 'REPSYCHLER'

SOLD

due for completion November 2015 can be held with 1/3 deposit via paypal or direct-deposit.

the bird is the word.

inspired by everybody's favourite underdog from the michigan-made guitar line up of the 1960s

rustic remilled douglas fir body - made from lovely stable mid-20th century beams.

bolly silkwood neck ( a beautiful queensland timber with mahogany-like properties / weight )  - a nod to the 1960s instruments by welson ( italy ) with crazy, boroque eurotrash headstock.

a rare harvester bolt on neck joint- will have stainless steel, elongated 'h' neck plate.

2 x unique nickel-plate super'tron pickups wound for me by TV jones to fit soapbar P90 covers.

25" scale, 12 " radius. gotoh 510 wraparound bridge/tailpiece, vintage bakelite knobs, your choice of rotary or toggle switch pickup selector. switchcraft, CTS etc etc

all in all - a fun, big ol' lightweight guitar with supertron appeal, just something i dreamed up to make alongside some of my 'recycler' customer orders.

around an inch shorter than the genuine article, finding a case for this one will be fun - but we've got time !

thanks for looking, AP

HARVESTER # 50

'GOLDTHWAIT' BASS SOLD * I'D LOVE TO MAKE ANOTHER

Harvester #50

recycled sugar-shed hoop pine ( milled in 1934 ), padauk neck, fiddle-back koa headstock overlay, indian rosewood fretboard.

ebony and brass floating bridge.
one-off jerry sentell acrylic bar pickup - wound with NOS gibson style green enamel wire ( 7.8 k ).

NOS bass trimlok tuners ( surplus-stock made for ken parker by sperzel ).
daka-ware knobs. CTS + switchcraft electronics.

set neck construction with angled headstock.

designed to evoke some of the feel of my favourite Kay factory basses of the 60s - hence the floating wooden bridge but with a slightly tighter overall tension and a medium scale for deeper fundamental notes.

the body shape is a freehand-drawn re-interpretation/exaggeration of the 60s Harmony Bobkat department store guitars, it is longer and wider which allows better balance with various scale lengths.

HARVESTER #51 GOLDTHWAIT BARITONE

Padauk neck.
Hoop pine body.
Indian rosewood board.

28.5" scale ( tuned B to B ).
2 X Manlius Guitar Pickups P90 pickups.
Gotoh 510 wraparound bridge.
Hipshot open back 'classic' tuners.
