Harvester Recycler * for sale at foundsound, melbourneWith a body made from 'Sugar Shed' hoop pine ( roof beams from a 1936 sugar warehouse ) and a neck of beautiful padauk with ziricote board - this one was a pleasure to put together as a 'back burner' guitar for direct sale. I have modified the bigsby trem to simulate the lazy action of a vintage grestch or guild archtop - without tension-bar and fine-tuned it's geometry with a unique recess into the guitar's top. Pickups are from Manlius in NY - a wide range humbucker in the neck and strong P90 at the bridge.

Antonio 'Blue Boat'Another hybrid metal neck guitar - again featuring the 'Buddy' headstock style. -

Goldthwait Shortscale24" scale. Curtis Novak goldfoil pickups. Mastery bridge & tremolo. Ziricote fretboard.
-

Kalamazoo Triplet3 pickups, no waiting! NOS Hagström tremar. A slinky little design exercise inspired by some of my customers' 1960s vintage Kalamazoo built guitars - with a re-designed neck joint and 'reverse batwing' 'stock. Fun.

-

#47 The Pete International HarvesterUsing my new interpretation of the Wandrè slotted headstock for the first time, this guitar features smoked finish, 'W' hole, giant recessed phenolic volume control and NOS Hagstrom Tremar. Timbers used are Sheoak, Padauk and Queensland Maple. The three Manlius NewYorker humbuckers sound incredible.
-

#36 Antonio SeriesOwing a lot to dear old Antonio 'Wandre' Pioli & with a brave customer looking for something unique and loud ... this one took me in a more sculptural direction. Less decorative, less textures and layers, more machine-like grace ( i hope ! ) - design-wise it aims to fuse a few of Pioli's more Daliesque moments into one slippery shape.
-

#34 The 'San Quentin'A 34" scale monster of a bass. Replicated in mahogany and queensland maple with a little carbon fibre reinforcement in the slender neck. The pickups were wound for me by Thunderbucker Ranch in Oregon. Enjoy Rene ! I'm jealous.
-

#33 for JamesFrom the Recycler series. So much fun to make. This one howls for hi-watts !
-

#32 [ Recycler Series ]Another rustic fir topped batwing baby. This time featuring Roadhouse P90s. The padauk fretboard is the key to some great sustain and snap through those lovely pickups.
-

#31 Claro Walnut topped offsetA very 'custom' build for a Queensland customer. Figured Queensland maple body with padauk neck and Indian rosewood board. The NOS 60s Hagström tremar is the pivotal point in this whole equation ... set as a floating trem with Gibson style neck angle - the feel is delightful. Manlius pickups P90 and New Yorker Deluxe - wound as a matched pair.
-

#29 for LiamFor my good friend Liam - this wooden necked guitar takes it's shape from the Wandrè powertone ( as does the Antonio Prototipo below ). Here it is matched with a Welson inspired neck in my favourite 25" scale. The pickups were wound for us by Mick at Manlius Guitars in NY.
-

#27 Antonio 'Cheetah'Harvester Antonio hybrid neck-through system with tremolo in the style of the Wandrè Tigre. 3 X P90 pickups custom wound for Harvester by Curtis Novak. Candled deep gold lacquer. Padauk board. 25" scale.
-

#25 Antonio PrototipoWell, I have said a lot about this guitar in these pages ... it marks the first foray into hybrid aluminium/paduak neck construction. 25" scale. custom pickups wound by Manlius ( NY ) Candled black-rose burst lacquer. 4 way switching - utilising NOS Schadow mixing-desk array.
-

#23 'RECYCLER'With recycled/reclaimed/resawn brush box basketball court flooring as a snappy hardwood drop-top, this guitar has a body of lightweight, chambered basswood & a neck of stunning tiger striped maple. 25" scale. ebony board. bigsby B5. tone-pros tune-o-matic. vintage Gibson deluxe humbucker at neck position and Sentell P90 at bridge. The bound headstock overlay is made from ancient folding tape measures inlaid with a small roundel of the basketball court. Delightful to play, I'm enjoying the nexus of bigsby, ebony board & mini-hum.
-

Harvester 22 'Captain Tango'Lightweight, thin bodied, short scaled, tele styled, harvester re-imagined machine for Daniel in Norway. The push button ( Schadow N.O.S. vintage mixing console switch ) engages the pickups ( customer supplied dano re-issues ) in series for extra grunt.
-

Harvester #19 Simpletone Series25" Scale 21 Fret White Beech body/neck Ebony Board
-

Harvester #18 'Red'Another from the Simpletone series of 2010. A Curtis Novak JM180 pickup ( like a lively P90 in jazzmaster clothing - with a switchable whole 'nother level of power available on demand ) is the heart of this instrument. The fancy Koa headstock overlay elaborates on a very spartan theme in flatout 'fyrbyrd' red. With NOS bakelite knobs, Jetsons approved pickguard, brigalow fretboard, wraparound bridge and all-round snotty 'junior' attitude.
-

Harvester #17 Custohm LEFTYFor my good friend and band-mate Willy. Made with a very Les Paul Junioresque bat of a neck and a slightly shorter 'Smurfhead' headstock as requested. 25" scale 12" radius 2 x Seymour quarters. Australian White Beech body and neck.
-

#16 'Custohm II'Something a little different ... a 25" scale offset waist beauty ( ? ) with a TV Jones Classic Filtertron where it counts. 20 frets to allow for a bridge set back into the body. Rosewood board with large frets. Lightweight wraparound bridge. Custom/Maverick mutant headstock with Rickenbackerised tuners and custom alloy string tree ...
-

NRFB IIIA 'Non Reverse' style guitar in blue. This one has 3 P90 style pickups and a fretboard of Queensland Ironwood. The centre pickup is wired thru a 'blend' knob. Made for my good friend, Dave Brown. 2006
-

GOLDIEAn offset-waist 24" scale set-neck beauty for a good friend. My first commissioned instrument, my first 'offset' build. *sigh*
